Things To Know When Purchasing Air Compressor Air Tanks

First, choose products from large enterprises and well-known brands. These companies not only strictly adhere to the GB150-98 "Steel Pressure Vessels" standard but also have their own enterprise standards. Furthermore, their products utilize advanced production equipment, have strict production process management, and use high-quality raw materials. While these products may be slightly more expensive, they offer guaranteed quality and peace of mind. Additionally, products from companies with multiple quality system certifications are also a top choice.

Second, examine the appearance. The product's appearance reflects its grade and value. Only reputable and capable manufacturers have the advanced equipment and robust quality assurance systems to guarantee a high-quality product appearance. A high-quality gas tank will have a very prominent trademark; the brand should be clearly visible even from 50 meters away. Upon closer inspection, the tank itself should have a bright luster, uniform surface treatment, smooth welds, and clear lines. Therefore, it's best to buy newly manufactured products.

Third, check the product nameplate. The nameplate should indicate the name of the manufacturer, the inspection unit, and the production date. It should also show the inspection unit's stamp in the upper right corner. Furthermore, the nameplate must indicate the product's serial number, weight, volume, maximum pressure it can withstand, working pressure, and water pressure test pressure. It must also specify the medium the gas tank contains. A stamped serial number must be printed directly below the nameplate on the tank, and this stamped number must match the serial number on the nameplate. If the two numbers do not match, it is best not to purchase the gas tank.

Fourth, check the quality assurance certificate. According to relevant national regulations, each gas tank must be accompanied by a quality assurance certificate upon leaving the factory. This certificate is an important document proving the gas tank's qualification. Even if the gas tank is very inexpensive, it is best not to purchase it without a quality assurance certificate to ensure safe use.
