On a CNC or coordinate measuring floor, a pressure swing of a few tenths of a bar is enough to ruin dimensional accuracy, and the Comps precision air compressor is a stationary electric unit built specifically to prevent that. Its defining feature is a high-precision control system that holds pressure to within plus or minus 0.05 bar, so downstream CNC machines, measuring equipment and precision tools receive a stable air supply instead of drifting pressure that causes dimensional variation. A multi-stage precision filtration system keeps dust and residual oil extremely low in the delivered air, which protects sensitive optical instruments and medical device parts from contamination, and the cabinet is designed for low noise and low vibration so it does not add disturbance to a precision machining or measuring environment. The unit is rated for 24-hour continuous running to protect production continuity, and its energy efficiency keeps operating cost down in precision shops that run long shifts. The series spans roughly 1.0 to 13.5 m3/min at 8-16 bar with 7.5 to 75 kW drives, covering CNC machining centers, coordinate measuring, precision electronics assembly, optical instruments and medical device manufacturing. The difference from a general industrial compressor is the plus or minus 0.05 bar pressure stability and multi-stage clean-air filtration, which are what make it suitable for metrology and precision process air rather than just general shop air; even small pressure spikes that a shop compressor would ignore are smoothed out before they reach measuring and machining equipment.
