Maintenance and Selection Recommendations for Compressed Air Dryers

Maintenance Recommendations: Refrigerated dryers are relatively easy to maintain, requiring regular cleaning of the automatic drain filter. Adsorption dryers require periodic addition and replacement of the adsorbent. Adsorption dryers have requirements for inlet air quality to ensure adsorbent lifespan and drying efficiency.

Selection Recommendations: Selection requires comprehensive consideration of multiple criteria, including maximum airflow, required pressure dew point, inlet air pressure, inlet air temperature, ambient air temperature, installation environment, equipment reliability and stability, energy costs, maintenance costs, and budget constraints. Refrigerated dryer performance is significantly affected by inlet air temperature and ambient temperature. Adsorption dryers can provide ultra-low dew points, such as -70°C or even -90°C, making them suitable for humidity-sensitive industries. "Zero-air consumption" technologies (such as blower-heated regeneration) offer advantages in energy saving.
