Isothermal compression: A compression method in which the temperature of a gas remains constant during compression.
Adiabatic compression: A compression method in which heat is neither heated nor removed from the outside.
Polygonal compression (the compression method actually used): A compression method that releases some of the heat generated and exchanges heat with the outside, unlike isothermal compression and adiabatic compression
